Elise Smith is a co-founder and CEO at Praxis Labs, a tool that aims to make society more equitable by advancing workplace inclusion and belonging.
She is passionate about leveraging innovation and disruptive technologies to increase access and opportunity in the pursuit of equity. Research has shown that first person perspective-taking in VR can increase empathy, reduce bias, and encourage adoption of more inclusive behaviors. Elise aims to re-imagine work cultures by developing inclusive leaders that drive sustainable change for individuals and organizations.
Prior to her involvement with Praxis Labs, she developed ed-tech products and led ed-tech partnerships at IBM Watson. Elise holds a B.A. in Geography & Social Inequity from Dartmouth College and an MBA and MA in Education from Stanford University.
