Susi Burke's mission is to help companies increase their commitment to social impact and diversity of thought and to increase access to funding for underrepresented founders as she believes this will lead to better products, more opportunity for all and in short, a better world. After 30+ years in the tech industry, name a tech job and Susi has probably done it - from Software Engineer to Director of Product. She mentors, advises startups, participates in middle school STEM outreach, volunteers at all-female hackathons, as well as speaks and writes about leadership and life skills for STEM organizations that help underrepresented groups.Susi is Chief Impact Officer and Strategic Advisor at Phin. Phin's purpose is to help companies be great by doing good, providing simple solutions for companies to incorporate purpose into their DNA.
With over two decades’ experience as a technologist, Melissa Jurkoic's mix of technical savvy and business strategy is unique for a former software engineer. Melissa’s fusion of technology and conversational techniques connect with both technical and business audiences to lead strategic initiatives to the best outcomes. Driven by her passion to increase the number of women in STEM, she volunteers extensively to educate and encourage women and girls to pursue careers in technology.
She continues to pursue opportunities every day to advocate, educate and encourage women and girls to pursue careers in technology. Her passion for diversity and inclusion led her to co-found Diversify Thinking, an initiative focused on moving inclusion from conversation to action. Along with her team, Melissa organizes and manages mentoring programs and creates opportunities for collaboration among diverse thinkers through their Rise & Diversify Series.
