Session: Weaving the Fabric of Data
Data is no longer a standalone aspect of any organization nor is data itself a simple or straightforward concept to implement. Data is an integral and complex aspect of building a successful organization more today than ever before. Because of this, creating a comprehensive data fabric is key to the development of a data driven enterprise. Building a strong foundation including engineering, grass-roots data governance, an understanding of use cases, and a managed data consumption model allows for the execution of complex analytics, data science, machine learning or AI. A data fabric implementation encompasses each of these elements and weaves them seamlessly into the overall business objectives to produce tangible outcomes based on targeted needs with frictionless data onboarding and curation. Over the next twenty minutes I’ll give an overview of the basic elements needed to build a data fabric, what a data fabric means to the modern data platform, and why you should care about seamless data implementation at all.
