Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the SAP Platform Engineering team, aligning efforts with overall business objectives and priorities.

• SAP Platform Management: Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of SAP platforms, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry best practices.

• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of SAP platform engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with SAP vendors and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of services and solutions.

• Project Management: Oversee SAP platform projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimise the performance of SAP platforms, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.

• Security and Compliance: Ensure that SAP platforms meet security and compliance requirements, implementing measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to understand requirements and priorities and ensure alignment with SAP platform initiatives.

• Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to SAP platform initiatives, ensuring effective communication, training, and adoption of innovative technologies and processes.

• Budget and Resource Capacity Management - Oversee the budget and resource capacity management for the Platform Engineering Domain including strategic planning, fiscal management, and resource allocation to ensure the successful development, maintenance, and enhancement of the organisation's platform infrastructure.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience

• + 10 years of professional experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; master's degree preferred.

• Extensive experience in SAP platform engineering, with a proven record of accomplishment of successful project delivery and team leadership.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies and solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP Cloud Platform.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with cloud technologies and migration strategies, SAP on Azure, or SAP RISE.

• Experience in the following SAP Solutions is beneficial: S/4HANA, BW, MDG, GRC Access Control and 3 lines of defense, ARIBA, Fieldglass, Sales Performance Management, SAP Enable Now, ILM, Solman, SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis and Signavio.

• Certification in SAP technology areas is a plus (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate, SAP Certified Development Associate).
