Bloomberg TOMS is looking for a Product Analyst to take a leading role in product and business development for Municipals. You'll be joining a fast growing and highly motivated TOMS product team that sits within our Enterprise Product Division. You will collaborate with engineers and product managers on product requirements, business use cases, functional design, market analysis and research, while developing business requirement documents for our Sell-side OMS. You will be a key player in the development of our business strategy to build innovative tools to meet current and future market trends. You will be involved in the full transaction lifecycle from pre-trade, in-trade and post-trade; including regulatory reporting, compliance and middle office.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Analyze our existing clients’ workflows to provide input into product decision making
  • Produce metrics to support business and product growth and usage
  • Write Business Requirement Documents to support product strategy
  • Define Service Level Agreements as an input to technical design
  • Working collaboratively with Product Managers to meet our strategic goals
  • Collaborate with sales on usage campaigns, ensuring key metrics are documented and monitored
  • Perform validation of new features with QA team to create test plans and provide testing strategy to ensure business requirements are met
  • Train trade desk and sales on our solutions and initiatives
  • Create internal and client documentation
  • Communicate status, findings and progress on a regular basis to all levels of the organization

You’ll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Technology
  • Proven understanding of financial markets, investment management and the sales process
  • Demonstrable expertise of financial instruments and workflows
  • Experience working with MUNI asset class lifecycle including workflows for front and middle office participants
  • Experience with business processes including Electronic Trading, Trade Capture, Pricing, Risk, P&L/Accounting and Regulatory
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, and Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)

  • Excellent analytical capabilities working with large data sets and Python
  • Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal
  • An understanding of MUNI market data mining and modeling
  • Highly motivated collaborator who works well in a team
  • Detail-oriented and deep analytical skills, being able to find patterns and communicate them effectively
  • Excellent presentation skills including written, graphical and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
