Work with Teams Across Akamai

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will contribute to strategic programs that will directly support Akamai and its customers. This role will be primarily focused on projects in areas including compliance, threat & vulnerability management, and product security.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will (at a high level):

• Planning, coordinate, communicate and deliver critical projects accurately and on time, leveraging project management expertise to meet organizational goals effectively
• Defining project scope, objectives, and milestones by engaging stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear, and aligning goals with business priorities
• Collaborating with stakeholders and teams to develop detailed plans, maintain progress, and ensure project milestones are achieved within set timelines
• Identifying, evaluate, and address project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on deliverables
• Supporting and motivate project teams, fostering leadership skills while driving accountability, and maintaining high team performance throughout project lifecycles
• Fostering alignment through collaboration, setting cross-functional goals, managing expectations, and ensuring clarity with great communication and active listening

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience leading complex technical programs, a bachelor diploma (or equivalent), and proven project leadership capabilities
• Apply hands-on knowledge of Project Management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, SAFe, or PMI methods to manage diverse initiatives
• Exhibit exceptional stakeholder management skills, engaging technical and business partners effectively, with compassion, empathy, and critical thinking abilities
• Navigate ambiguity, address risks, shift priorities self-assuredly, and adapt to dynamic project demands while maintaining a focus on objective
• Demonstrate interpersonal, organizational, and communication strengths while embracing opportunities to learn new systems, skills, and project management tools
