Session: Leadership Advice: 5 Steps to Follow for Lifelong Success by Anwen Robinson
It's 2022. The use of technology in the past two years reached its peak. Despite the pandemic, we learned how to connect digitally - the geographical distance lost its meaning. In a digital world, 10000 miles don't present a flight journey, but just a quick zoom link connection or similar. The world of opportunities got bigger for everyone. In my conversation with Anwen Robinson, SVP and GM at Infor, we are going to share how to make an impact and seize the opportunities as a female leader. How can I succeed in a sector (long-term) and what is my obligation towards all other women entering the industry? Anwen has a lifelong experience in the sector and her top 5 pieces of advice are exactly what we need to hear to succeed!
Bio
Romana Sustar, Marketing Manager at Infor, Journalist and Tutor
Romana is an innovative marketer with demonstrable experience, most recently gained during her career with Infor, where she supports Food and Beverage, Distribution and Supply Chain Management teams. She is also an active member of WIN (Women at Infor) and a freelance journalist. She lived and worked in 10 countries and speaks 7 languages. She joined the tech sector after her experience in South Africa, where she worked on a South African government project together with the Anglo American CSR department. The aim was to alleviate poverty in rural areas. By experiencing the issues first-hand, she was able to work with several communities and learn about their needs. The projects were successful and demand was growing. However, due to rioting and political unrest in 2013, she needed to leave. By using technology, she was able to continue to lead projects online. Her experience showed her that technology is a solution, so she decided to stay in the sector. Her working ethos is: "Embrace technology, but keep humanity." She joined Infor in 2018.
