Session: Training and development as a leadership vehicle
Training and development in IT tends to focus on technical skills. But the vast majority of issues and delays in projects are caused by a lack of technical leadership. How do you teach leadership to technical people?
How do we balance on-demand training with classroom training?
Lisa and Liz will cover the issues and benefits of providing technical leadership training and look at balancing on-demand remote training with in-person training. They will also look at the additional benefits that come out of leadership training – such as developing mentoring relationship (including reverse mentoring) and providing role models and sponsors.
