Bio
Ideshini has over 20 years of technology experience, including time as the CIO of RMB Corporate Bank and the Head of Electronic Banking for Barclays Africa. Since 2017, she has served as the CTO of Wave Financial where she helped the company transform from a financial services software organization for small businesses, to a software-powered bank for small business. She lead the Engineering and Data Science functions at Wave through to acquisition by H&R Block in 2019 as Canada’s 7th largest tech exit since 2001. She was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 50 Women in FinTech for her work at Wave in 2019. She’s an active speaker in the technology community on a variety of topics, including reimagining software engineering in the context of AI and being an advocate for women in technology.
