ABOUT THE ROLE
Over the last years, we learned that solving fulfillment-related challenges for the good of our customers helps us to fuel the growth of our platform. With more partners in Partner Program and Connected Retail joining our platform, we have been developing and testing additional further fulfillment services tailored to their needs.
As a Fullstack Software Engineer at ZEOS, you will design technical solutions to extend our Zalando Fulfillment capabilities to external brands and partners. Together with an engaged and sophisticated team of engineers and product managers, you will create services that are used internally, by partners and by our web applications.
You will ensure that in an evolving network complexity, all our operational processes like warehousing, inventory management, inventory distribution, deliveries, returns, replenishment logics can be steered automatically and sensibly. You will have the chance to learn about the broad business background we’re working with. In line with the overall Zalando philosophy you bring visibility and transparency to processes and thus have a huge impact on our customers and key stakeholders.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Develop and execute mid- & long-term technical vision and architecture with your team, while closely collaborating with Engineering Managers to be in line with our overall tech strategy.
Manage your services from architecture to testing, deployment, and operation in an agile environment
Collaborate with and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of backend and fullstack engineers
Facilitate communication and decision-making in your team and with other engineering teams and stakeholders
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have proven experience in fullstack engineering, and you possess significant experience in professional programming in Java or Kotlin
You have expertise in microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful APIs and event-driven design as well as know-how to build user-friendly web applications with great user experience
You have basics of Typescript/Javascript/HTML/CSS; experience in using Javascript Frameworks like React or Vue or Angular
You are preferably knowledgeable in data structures, SQL and NoSQL, Spring framework, and have experience with AWS and Kubernetes
You are experienced in building high-volume services in distributed systems, in delivering high-quality code, and having knowledge of how to deploy and maintain it.
Curiosity about algorithms, machine learning or mathematics
You have fluent and effective communication in English
