We are reimagining the Services consumer journey to make it super easy for consumers to discover local pros who can help with their needs—be it a plumber, a landscaper or a realtor. Services already drive the majority of Yelp’s Ad revenues and represent the fastest growing segment of our users and revenues. We see a huge opportunity ahead for monetizing Services and making Yelp the go-to platform for Service needs, and are looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive monetization of our Services offering.

 

As a Principal Product Leader, you’ll be at the forefront of driving our Services Ads platform. You will develop and execute a product strategy that maximizes advertiser value and business impact. This role requires a deep understanding of advertiser needs, product analytics, and industry trends. It’s a highly cross-functional role where you’ll influence multiple teams beyond Ads, making a significant impact on Yelp’s growth. What you'll do:

  • Strategy and Vision: Define and execute a product roadmap aligned with business objectives. Partner with cross-functional teams to build a shared vision and strategy.
  • Customer Empathy: Deeply understand the problem space, advertiser and consumer goals to define a cohesive strategy for Yelp monetization in Services space and build delightful products.
  • Technical depth: Build algorithms that connect Advertisers with consumers by driving ad retrieval, matching, ranking, and pricing across multiple ad inventory sources. Optimize components of the ad auction to drive more value to advertisers and grow long-term revenue.
  • Product Development: Lead the development of Ad products from conception to launch. Foster a data-driven culture to measure and optimize product performance.
  • Organizational Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science to deliver exceptional products. Bring structure to chaos, drive alignment across teams, and ship features that make Yelp the go-to-platform for Advertisers and users.
  • Business Impact: Drive revenue growth and advertiser satisfaction through innovative product solutions. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
  • Foster and build a fun, diverse, and inclusive culture that reflects Yelp’s values.



What it takes to succeed:

  • Proven track record and 8+ years of experience in leading technical product development in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in the advertising industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for solving complex problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong customer understanding combined with a bias towards action and energized by driving revenue growth.
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working across different teams, functions, and timezones.



What you'll get:

  • Compensation range is $200,000-365,000 annually. You may also be offered restricted stock units and benefits.
