Position Summary

Huron is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Advisory Manager to join our Financial Institutions team. In this client-facing role, you will leverage your deep understanding of banking regulations, policies, and governance to help clients build robust risk management frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance.

Within the Enterprise Risk Management discipline, you will deliver the following capabilities to clients:
• Risk Governance Framework
• Risk Organizational Design
• Control taxonomy and testing
• Risk policy and standards development
• Risk and Credit Reporting

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management and Control: Develop, implement, and test risk management frameworks and controls across various banking operations.

  • Policy and Governance: Design, review, and enhance risk policies and governance structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Limit Setting: Establish and monitor risk limits to safeguard the bank's financial stability and operational integrity.

  • Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Lead the development and execution of risk control self-assessment processes, ensuring comprehensive risk identification and mitigation strategies.

  • Client Consultation: Provide expert advice on risk management practices, frameworks, and compliance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align risk management practices with business objectives and regulatory expectations.

  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients and internal teams on risk management best practices and policies.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to continually enhance the risk management framework.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in risk management

  • Strong knowledge of risk management controls development and testing

  • Proven experience in risk control self-assessment, policy development, governance, and limit setting

  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics Accounting, or a related field

  • Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed nationwide up to 80%

  • Location Requirement: Must be based in the greater Dallas, TX area and open to being in-office 3 days per week

The estimated base salary range for this job is $150,000 - $215,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $172,500 - $268,750. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
