Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Product Manager. Shape the development of scalable, distributed software solutions for Akamai’s compute platform; Synthesize feedback and prioritize product development; Execute the product strategy, roadmap, and execution against the product plan; Gather, document, and communicate business and technical requirements; Collaborate with crossfunctional product teams, including engineering, threat research/data science, sales/marketing to execute feature prototypes and production capabilities; Analyze operational metrics and trends to manage and maximize product KPIs, revenue, and profitability; Demonstrate an understanding of cloud technologies and product management principles/product life-cycle delivery processes; and Research competitive services in the market and identify opportunities for differentiation. 10% domestic travel required. Required Qualification:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems and Operations Management, Information Technology, or Telecommunications, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical product management role.

Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems and Operations Management, Information Technology, or Telecommunications, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related technical product management role.

Must have: Two (2) years of experience in the following: Object oriented programming, Java, multi-threaded distributed software development, software architecture, debugging, CI/CD, project management, and scrum planning.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $128627 - $193746/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
