Networking events hold the potential to significantly impact women’s careers in technology by providing access to mentorship, advice, and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. However, the effectiveness of networking in breaking the glass ceiling also heavily relies on the presence of allies and the commitment of organizations to gender equality. Networking alone cannot dismantle barriers built by longstanding biases and structural inequalities.
