⚡️ Save the date: Women in Tech Global Conference 2023 will take place on May 9-12!

Tell us about your experience as a Women in Tech Global Conference 2022 speaker.

I’ve been speaking at the WomenTech global conference for two consecutive years now. The conference has given me the opportunity to network and connect with some amazing people in tech across the globe, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities that came my way because of that.

I am also amazed at the level of support and resources offered by the WTGC team for speakers. Right from planning your talk to testing, media templates, and live support on the day of your presentation, the WTGC team goes out of the way to ensure the speakers have everything they need for a successful talk.

What is your favorite thing about working in tech?

My favorite part about working in the tech world is that you don’t necessarily have to code or be deeply hands-on with technology in order to do work in this field. Technology is probably one of the only fields that allow you to use a diverse range of techno-functional, strategic, and consultative skills in addition to technical skills to carve a career path for yourself. The opportunities are limitless and allow you to play to your strengths.

What advice (and tips) would you give to women who want to start a tech career?

There are no wrong questions, only wrong answers so never hold back from asking as many questions as you want. For anyone who is starting out, there is a wealth of resources and support available. You’d be surprised at the amount of help that will come your way if you just ask.

Also, no one has their entire career path charted out on day one or even year one of their tech careers. You build your unique career story as you undertake your journey, and develop your skills and interests.

Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network?

Anyone looking to build and grow their career and network in tech. This is an amazing community where you will find peers to share stories with, leaders to learn from, and a great support network to aid your journey in tech.
