Parul Baranwal is a dedicated Water Quality Program Manager for Public Utilities in North Carolina, with a strong passion for environmental and community issues, specifically those related to water. Her professional background involves addressing workplace safety, environmental hazards, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Parul has also conducted extensive research in microbiology, genomic sequencing, molecular biology, water quality, and various laboratory activities.Parul's educational journey began with an undergraduate degree in biotechnology from Dr. MGR University in Chennai, India. She further pursued her academic interests and obtained a master's degree in Environmental Management from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India. She later moved to the United States and completed her PhD at the University of Toledo in Ohio, where she focused on developing innovative methods for drinking water treatment and exploring biological and sustainable processes.
Known for her self-motivation, sense of accountability, and ability to quickly acquire new knowledge, Parul is committed to building trust and fostering positive working relationships with everyone she interacts with. Alongside her professional commitments, she has dedicated her time to volunteering with various organizations, particularly in teaching and mentorship programs for disadvantaged youth.
