The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.

  • Managing user and permissions. Designing automation processes and tools to streamline deployments across multiple environments.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, workflows and modules. Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and third-party applications using APIs and integration tools.
  • Design and optimize workflows. Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ServiceNow platform.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and integrations.
  • Development and customization of rules and automations to handle the events.
  • Development of health check monitoring scripts/automation and dashboards for different health check parameters.
  • Guide and direct the comprehensive insights on team for proactive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Achieve operational maturity through data-driven practices and streamlined incident resolution processes.
  • Integrate, propose, and provide the solution using PagerDuty’s integrations with tools like Microsoft Teams communication platforms allow quick and easy collaboration in a distributed environment.reg

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in using SNOW in customized enterprise environment.
  • Experience in transforming operations using Pager Duty.
  • Experience in automating the incident management using Pager Duty.
  • Skills in developing Service Now software solutions using JavaScript, Web Services, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Service Asset & Configuration Management and Asset Management teams to deliver expanded Discovery functionality
  • Can develop and deliver customized portal web pages in Service Now using Bootstrap and Angular JS JavaScript frameworks
  • Capable and skilled in managing CMDB health by using Discovery (or equivalent methods) to support Assets and Configuration
  • Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, For matters, in Service Now
  • Responsible for application support and operational activities, code migrations, replications, patching, and upgrades
  • Creates and maintains process and knowledge documentation for team and users
  • Develop troubleshooting strategy to fix defects, and support users of applications developed by the enterprise application development team.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met regarding coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
  • Experienced in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on Service Now system software.
  • Proficient in developing enhancements for applications developed by the enterprise application development team
  • Experienced in designing, developing, building, and customizing applications or providing solutions to end-users of the software/customers
  • Proficient in administrating the workflows on the software, implementing new systems or add-ons, helping with problem resolution, and supervising testing systems for efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
  • Decent knowledge and experience in implementing automation using Service Now, API integrations and third-party integration.
  • Leadership skills and capable of leading, mentoring, & developing the local/remote teams in big/heterogenous environments.


Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
 
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities
• Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
