Activities include requirements development and flow down, architecture / system design and analysis, electromechanical components integration, modeling, FMEA, developing/executing system verification and validation test procedures, reliability testing and providing support to manufacturing and field issues.

Job Description:

The Systems Engineer has the responsibility to design and develop industry leading CT Scanner by delivering customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost. Activities include requirements development and flow down, architecture / system design and analysis, electromechanical components integration, modeling, FMEA, developing/executing system verification and validation test procedures, reliability testing and providing support to manufacturing and field issues.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Product development and technical risk retirement for CT scanners with “Systems Thinking’ focusing on system features, calibrations, and service tools.

  • Working across sub systems and functions (Software, X-ray tube, Detector, Image Quality, Hardware etc) to develop system design for CT scanner features.

  • Problem framing, decision making and problem solving through data collection, modeling, and analysis

  • Supporting, coordinating, and leading technical reviews.

  • Opportunities to collaborate with clinical partners and luminaries on concept prove outs, advanced technology development, and risk retirements prior to new product program development

  • Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.

  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in “STEM” majors (Physics, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

  • Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation (MATLAB, Python, SysML, Simulink)

  • Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion

  • Demonstrated ability to create technical documentations and presentations with attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in Java/C/C++ programming language

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation

  • Advanced Degree in “STEM” majors

  • Prior CT experience
