Job Description Summary
Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop and qualify Power conversion subsystems (PDUs, MDPs) for our state-of-the-art Imaging systems. The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan as well as product specific development plans.
The successful candidate in this role will support existing installed base imaging products power conversion subsystems and new product development programs with component design, equipment design, engineering analysis, and planning/conducting rigorous reliability and verification tests. There will be an emphasis on hands on engineering and component testing. This role requires the interaction with other organizations: service, manufacturing, and design engineering teams from inter modality teams like CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine etc.
Main responsibilities for this role can range from circuit design (Analog or Power) to digital (FPGA) or simulation work (MATLAB). Looking for a well-rounded Electrical Engineer that can execute on a variety of tasks on this global, well balanced, and forward-thinking team.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design electrical and/or power electronics circuitry for Imaging Hardware like Power Distribution Units, Main Disconnect panels
- Drives and is accountable for operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure
- Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation
- Capture electrical design schematic using an ECAD system for PWAs
- Review and approve layout done on the ECAD system
- Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
- Identify, select, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test equipment.
- Evaluate engineering test plan requests, and determine the best method/approach to achieve results
- Create, review, and execute development and reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities, and when needed coordinate resources and equipment needed to run engineering tests
- Proactively resolve and escalate issues across functions regarding issues found during engineering development and tests.
- Communicates effectively project status, issues, risks, and plans to senior management
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of industry electrical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of standard schematic practices, product structuring, electronics modeling, and engineering analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of power electronics, integrated circuit design, control system design, programming, simulation & test
- Knowledge of Low and high voltage DC and AC circuit designs
Desired Characteristics
- Master's or PHD degree in Electrical Engineering
- Good understanding of circuit/circuit board design both analog and digital
- Familiarity with digital electronics, switches and flux capacitors
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects/programs.
- Ability to multi-task, both on projects within the electrical team and within the greater hardware team.
- Someone that wants to grow in the role from individual design work to overall team design strategy
- Global project experience
- EMC compatible design/solution experience
- Circuit design and simulation tool experience (Matlab)
- Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
