While gender inclusion initiatives in tech are well-intended and have shown promising starts, their overall impact appears to be slower than anticipated. This slow progress can be attributed to deep-seated biases, lack of enforcement of inclusion policies, and a high attrition rate of women and non-binary people in tech roles. For lasting change, initiatives must be more aggressively implemented and coupled with a culture shift within the organizations.
