Coming from my master studies to The Netherlands, the biggest cultural shock for me was the small amount of women in my class (I was the only one), compared to the way it was in Romania. I did not expect to see this difference between Eastern and Western Europe. Now, after 10 years in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry, I am still surprised by the small number of women working in this industry worldwide. My wish is to raise awareness that we (women in tech) are here and we have so many skills which make us great at our jobs! |
