Session: Ethical by design
In this talk, I will explore the ethical considerations when designing digital products and services. Drawing on the work of experts in the field, such as The Ethics Centre, I delve into the complex issues that arise when creating technology that interacts with people on a daily basis. I will explore topics such as user privacy, data security, and the impact of technology on society as a whole. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of user-centred design and how to ensure that the needs and wants of the people using our products and services are at the forefront of our minds. By the end of the talk, attendees will have a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations that must be taken into account when creating digital products and services and will be equipped with the tools to make informed decisions that balance innovation with responsibility.
