At this fireside chat, Yelp product leader Elise and Yelp engineering leader Sirisha will tell us about their professional learnings, lessons and share the different ways they’ve elevated their careers in the tech industry. Bio
Elise Pi, Group Product Manager, Ads
Elise is a group product manager on the Ads team at Yelp, focused on delivering more value to Yelp advertisers to help their businesses grow. She works with a superstar team responsible for the systems and algorithms that power Yelp’s almost $1B-large ad marketplace. Prior to product management, Elise was a part of Yelp’s Business Operations & Strategy team and before that, a strategy consultant at IBM. Elise is a proud alumna of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a degree in economics. Originally from Cupertino, California, Elise also considers Shanghai to be home and currently resides in London.
Sirisha Vanteru, Engineering Manager Infrastructure
Sirisha is an engineering manager for Database Reliability Engineering at Yelp. She is responsible for delivering a highly reliable non-relational data platform that meets the dynamic data needs and development practices of the company. Previous leadership roles at Cisco in Cloud Security and Video Conferencing domains have given her extensive experience in developing and implementing large-scale, mission-critical systems. Sirisha is also passionate about quality, security, and mentoring, and loves helping her team members achieve their full potential. Originally from India, she has been living in the UK for the past 15 years.
