The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.

Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role maintains a high level of service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions and is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.

This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L3) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced L3 Network Engineer to lead our network operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco AAA servers, Cisco Next Gen Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Citrix Load Balancers, and Cisco ACI & SDN. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing network solutions, as well as providing advanced support and guidance to the network team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In depth knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and RIP
  • Hands on experience (Expert level) of Routing & Switching on vendor devices Cisco, Palo Alto, Citrix and Cisco ACI
  • Extensive hands on knowledge of Multi-Pod and Multi-Site ACI design, implementation, and support, Tenant constructs, Application network profiles, Contracts, Fabric access policies, L3 extensions & Routing and L3 policies
  • Working knowledge of Citrix and F5 load Balancer products.
  • Will provide level 2 support as the final point of escalation and run with issues until the point of resolution.
  • Supporting in rotation shifts plus 24/7 On Call support when needed Qualifications
  • Troubleshooting traffic flows via underlay and overlay
  • Strong Documentation skills
  • Design and implement advanced network solutions.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues.
  • Configure and optimize Cisco AAA servers.
  • Manage and secure Cisco Next Gen Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Citrix Load Balancers.
  • Implement and manage Cisco ACI & SDN solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the network team.
  • Ability to assist with incident investigations through to timely resolution.
  • Forward planning and ability to manage non-complex implementations.
  • Excellent analytical & interpretive skills.
  •  Develop and maintain network documentation and standards.
  • Good Knowledge of ITIL framework and Service management. 

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Cisco AAA servers.
  • Advanced proficiency in managing Cisco Next Gen Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • In-depth knowledge of Citrix Load Balancers.
  • Expertise in Cisco ACI, SDx, Cisco IOS & NXOS
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with 5 years of hand on experience on technology
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP PCNSE) are highly desirable.
