Your day at NTT DATA

Strong technical subject matter expertise on the following:
• Cisco GSR routers and switches like Catalyst 3560/3750/4948
• Juniper MX series routers and switches
• SDWAN – Silverpeak, Cisco Viptela, Fortinet
Knowledge on SDWAN technologies using Silverpeak, Viptela and Fortinet

What you'll be doing

1.1.2 PRE-REQUISITES


Hands-on troubleshooting experience in Enterprise LAN/WAN environment
Strong technical subject matter expertise on the following:
• Cisco GSR routers and switches like Catalyst 3560/3750/4948
• Juniper MX series routers and switches
• SDWAN – Silverpeak, Cisco Viptela, Fortinet
• Transmission technologies like Alcatel 7750SR-c12, Alcatel 7470, ADVA
Technical expertise with routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching
(VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP) protocols
Knowledge of MPLS, QoS and VoIP
Knowledge on SDWAN technologies using Silverpeak, Viptela and Fortinet
Knowledge of security technologies
Knowledge on scripting languages like Python
Excellent communications skills and must have worked with Global customers
and global carriers


1.1.3 RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engineers who have a passion and understanding for providing outstanding
customer service. This person will be a part of a team of experts who are
responsible for handling and providing network/security suppor t services to
global customers, problem management, managing network performance
and proactively identifying issues before they become customer affecting.
This team provides 24x7 support, as well as provides training to junior
engineers.
• Remote management and monitor Network Operations
• Support NOC 24x7 for large global clients that have a distributed LAN/WAN
setup
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Incident Management/Ticket
Resolution
• Create MOP/SOP and plan Change Management process
• Perform Performance Tuning of network devices and create SOPs
• Work with Telecommunication Service Providers to resolve escalated circuit
problems
• Plan and perform upgrade of firmware
• Work with hardware/software vendors to resolve problems
• Train and mentor juniors
• Act as an SME SPOC for certain network products
• Provide technical inputs for weekly/monthly customer service review reports
• Any additional task given to the incumbent from time-to-time based on
business needs


1.1.4 TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
• CCNA, CCNP, JCNIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, ITIL


1.1.5 EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 2 years of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability
to work in a complex network environment


1.1.6 EDUCATION
• Bachelor in Engineering - Computers/Electronics/Communication or related
field
• Graduate/Post Graduate in Science/Maths/IT or related streams with
relevant technology experience


1.1.7 OTHER SKILLS
• Excellent communication skills - written as well as verbal
• Passion to work on core technology platform
• ITIL process awareness
