The Role
This is a strategic role to help shape the future of tax management software for the Office of the CFO at Lucanet. Head of Product Tax will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, development, and growth of our tax product suite. As a leading SaaS company in the Office of the CFO space, we are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader who can leverage product-led growth strategies to deliver value, expand market share, and increase revenue. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax processes and regulations, combined with expertise in product management and business strategy, to deliver compelling solutions that align with customer needs and industry trends.
What you'll do
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the tax product suite, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business goals and customer needs.
- Evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
- Set product pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies that maximize revenue and customer adoption.
- Act as a product evangelist, including speaking at the relevant conferences and showcasing our product capabilities
- Build durable relationships with regulators and create thought guidance around the future of digital tax products
Product Development and Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to launch and post-launch evaluation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of product initiatives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success, customer satisfaction, and adoption, using insights to inform ongoing product improvements.
- Actively engage with our partner ecosystem to drive engagement and adoption of our products and explore new opportunities
Leadership and Team Development:
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Act as a key choice-maker, balancing short-term objectives with long-term strategic goals, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet business priorities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align product initiatives with the broader company vision and growth strategy.
Business Growth and Product-Led Growth Initiatives:
- Champion product-led growth strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders to gather insights, validate product concepts, and co-create solutions.
- Leverage data insights and customer feedback to continuously optimize the product experience, driving organic growth and revenue expansion.
What you bring to the table
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industry, of which 5 years in product management, and 5 years in leadership roles, ideally in the SaaS industry.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful B2B tax or financial software products.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and processes, with the ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly solutions, knowledge of German Tax Regulations is a plus.

- Strategic Thinker: Capable of developing a long-term vision for tax products while managing short-term priorities and delivering results.
- Product Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams, managing product roadmaps, and making data-driven Choices.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into innovative product features and enhancements.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong presentation, communication (fluency in English is a must, German language skills a plus), and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships.
- Growth-Oriented: Experience in implementing product-led growth strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
