The Role

The Benefits Senior Associate in this job role has responsibility for the operational aspects of one or more Kyndryl employee benefits programs within one or more countries, or within a region. The scope of the role will vary by country depending on benefits offered and resources available.

The Benefits Senior Associate is engaged in the ongoing delivery of Kyndryl's employee benefits programs including but not limited to medical and life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans, lease car fleet, flexible benefits, meal allowance, sport plans, leave of absence, with primary responsibility for smooth administration of the rules and features of the Kyndryl benefits plans.

The Benefits Senior Associate is engaged in the operational aspects as a Benefits Partner and/or as an Absence Partner, handling and improving the day-to-day operational activities of the above mentioned non exhaustive list of benefits programs. These day-to-day operational activities include but are not limited to

  • eligibility validation;

  • employee enrollment and data registration in the Kyndryl systems and tools;

  • invoice reconciliation;

  • claims administration;

  • soft or hard copy documentation collection;

  • internal or external reporting;

  • contract amendments and negotiation;

  • implementing process automation, benefits design changes, communicating program changes to employees;

  • resolving individual employee questions or issues;

  • managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, monitoring service levels;

  • documenting the benefits policies and processes;

  • driving business controls activities, monitoring compliance with internal and external regulations, reporting.

In addition, this job role requires frequent teaming with other Kyndryl functions on matters involving Payroll, Finance, Legal Compliance, Employee Relations, related to the benefits programs. The HR Benefits Specialist focuses on individual/team objectives and developing professional effectiveness.
 

The Benefits Senior Associate job profile - apart from other factors - requires previous operational experience and the ability to provide clear guidance on HR policies and attention to detail including format requirements. Ideally, we would like to hire a candidate with additional HR legislation, analytical, finance, and administration knowledge and experience.
This role will sit within a larger team of similar roles and individuals supporting the entire European region.


Environment:
Professional knowledge related to candidate's HR Benefits position, team, and department. Requires ability to absorb Kyndryl HR Benefits professional knowledge and develop operational skills quickly. Self-starter who takes initiative, can work independently, and begins projects with a proactive attitude.

Communication/Negotiation:
Draw upon professional concepts to collaborate with others to conduct assigned duties. Negotiation is required.

Problem Solving:
Recognize job-related problems. Analyze causes using existing techniques or tools, prepare and recommend solution alternatives. Challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve.

Contribution/Leadership:
Works on professional projects; work is often reviewed for developmental purposes. Understands the standard mission of the Benefits Delivery group and vision in own area of competence. May directly influence people in own project. Position may require coordination of activities of less experienced or less knowledgeable team members.

Impact on HR Benefits scope:
Accountable for individual or team results. May contribute by supporting activities that are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, or impact immediate costs or expenses.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in HR - preferably in the area of benefits,

  • Ability to communicate at a high level in English spoken and written plus knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage,

  • Excellent communication skills.
