The Senior Manager – Enterprise Application Engineer (Travel & Living) will drive successful operation, development, and enhancements of Travel & living applications which includes - Travel & Living, Fleet, Meetings & Events, Global Mobility and Fieldglass. They will partner closely with the Technical Product Owner and cross functional partners to drive strategic initiatives, optimize products, and address challenges. They will lead a team responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role , you will be -

  • Responsible for full software lifecycle activities such as requirement analysis, design, build, deliver, documentation, implementation and maintenance of Travel & Living applications and services
  • Provide support for escalated application issues, including diagnosis and resolution of technical problems ensuring the root cause of the problem is addressed.
  • Responsible for all integrations with Travel and living systems along with development within Travel & Living portals.
  • Support GE HealthCare development, testing, go-live and rollout for Travel & Living and GMS applications
  • Convert requirements into the architecture and design. Design and alignment of technology and standardized patterns to enable scale, stability, and consistency.
  • Partners with Technical Product Owner to deliver on strategic vision of applications. Works across a broad range of stakeholders including Product Managers, Architects, Functional Partners, Sourcing Stakeholders, Finance Stakeholders, Regional Leads, and other strategic partners
  • Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Travel & Living landscape and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination.
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in development and/or operational support activities and provide recommendations for technical product direction.
  • Effectively coordinate with key business partners to implement solutions supporting the business needs, while consistently demonstrating a service-oriented delivery approach.
  • Actively collaborate with business stakeholders to derive and drive value from existing and new system technology investments.
  • Build a high performing team with a strong focus on business value and customer centricity.
  • Provides thought Leadership, deep domain expertise, coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities to direct reports on the scrum teams.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and increase velocity and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 10+ years of IT experience in a complex and geographically diverse environment
  • Experience in implementing and designing large-scale, global IT applications with significant integration requirements

Desired Characteristics

  • Must have strong understanding of enterprise system implementations and release cycles
  • Extensive knowledge of travel systems including Concur, CWT, Corporate card programs 
  • Understanding of enterprise financial systems and processes
  • Identifies the customer’s business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of the Product.
  • Proven ability to lead effectively across matrixed teams and at peer and executive levels
  • Applies agile methodology to SDLC process
  • Ability to interact with Business stakeholders and solve business problems spanning across functions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skill , Analytical, creative, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams and Able to manage and balance competing priorities
