While mentorship programs have their advantages, they also possess limitations in fully addressing the gender gap in technology. For instance, if not carefully structured, they can unintentionally perpetuate the same biases they aim to eliminate. Efforts to close the gender gap must be multipronged, addressing educational opportunities, unconscious bias training, and equitable promotion and pay structures alongside mentorship.
