This talk will discuss the common resume mistakes made when applying to companies for job searches and how hey can be fixed. The session will also have some examples for each mistake and the correction required, along with an opportunity for people to look at a sample resume and correct these mistakes as a hands-on session.This way, they can learn to correct such mistakes and proofread their resume and that of others.

Bio
Ishani Srivastava has been working as a Software Engineer at Google for the last 2 years since 2021, after having interned there twice (as a SWE intern in 2020 and a STEP intern in 2019). She is currently an active volunteer in various DEI initiatives at Google and during her undergraduate days of Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Trichy(2017-2021), she was one of the founding members of the women in tech community at her university(Win-Nitt). She was also an active member of her university's coding club and astronomy club, and worked on software projects with a few NPOs in India. Ishani is passionate about building products that improves the lives of end-users and DEI in the tech industry. In her free time, she enjoys writing articles on Medium about space science and creating art.
