Join our team and share the vision. We are looking for a Consumer Services Web Architect, reporting to the Manager Digital Architecture Innovation. This Senior Technologist will play a key role in the delivery and execution of our Digital Support Architecture and Innovation strategy, helping accelerate digital and customer experience transformation.

As Consumer Services Web Architect, you will be a part of a team in a very fast paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgement and creative thinking. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with other architects, user experience designers, product owners, software developers and testers to create software solutions for HP’s products that encompass middleware components, applications, user interfaces and cloud based layers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture of high-quality, complex multi-platform Web Application Software

Write and internalize architecture requirements and high level functional specifications

Participate in, and technically lead, the building of highly scalable and highly secure microservices based, AWS services based, high-scalable, configurable, composable, modular AWS cloud deployable systems

Participate in strategic planning and capability development and drive the significant parts of technology strategy and roadmap implementation

Coach and mentor architecture and development resources and effectively manage and shape team and individual behaviors towards technical excellence and a continuous improvement and continuous learning mindset

Develop Proof of Concept implementations

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Skills

Strong engineering leader who can roll-up their sleeves

Execution focused executive with a “get things done” attitude

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts through excellent written and oral presentation skills in order to inform and influence teams and leaders across the enterprise

Ability to cultivate a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion Strong understanding of modern data modeling and data architecture practices

Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum/Safe Preferred)

Strong understanding of Web Application Architecture and Distributed Internet Systems

Experience

8+ years of software development experience

3+ years in a software architect role

Deep Expertise in Web technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, React and HTML5 and Frameworks like Websphere Portal and Adobe Experience

Manager Experience with Java & Springboot, Containers (Docker, EKS),

NOSQL databases (Mongo, Cassandra or DynamoDB) and AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, EKS, Security Groups, S3, Cloud Formation etc)

Experience with CI/CD and Dev ops tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)

Hands-on experience in cloud engineering and cloud-native design Well-versed in API development and management

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Mobile systems design and implementation experience through technologies such as ReactNative

Prior experience with evaluating emerging technologies and recommending potential partnerships that provide efficiencies and competitive advantage within the tech stack

Experience with developing reusable assets such as prototypes, solution designs, documentation, and other materials that contribute to department and organization effectiveness and efficiency

Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)

Experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), including threat modeling

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
