As a Manager of Account Technology Specialists in NetApp’s US Public Sector, you will lead a team to grow NetApp’s relevance and market share in your assigned districts.  As you guide and support your teams to successful outcomes, you:

  • Practice customer-centric thinking
  • Leverage technical acumen to define effective go-to-market strategies
  • Effectively navigate and leverage resources on behalf of your teams and customers
  • Identify and cultivate internal and external partnerships which are critical to your team’s success
  • Incubate and/or execute on projects or programs to improve performance in your market/location

The most effective candidate for this role will augment team leadership with targeted customer and partner engagement, leading from the front in interactions with key customer executives and partners. An existing understanding of the NetApp portfolio (product positioning, solution applicability, and value proposition in a broader industry context) is desired but not required.

Your daily work will include the following activities:

  • Regular strategic planning with sales leadership to create a local sales, marketing, and partner plan for revenue growth and portfolio adoption
  • Thought leadership in account planning and coaching with sales teams
  • Identifying and managing resources and budget necessary to support the sales strategy
  • Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel against clearly defined expectations for success
  • Interacting with customers to represent NetApp
  • Helping teams and people through business-related issues, challenges, or escalations
  • Working with our Corporate Business Units to ensure our unique US Public Sector requirements are included

  • Effectiveness in selecting, hiring, and developing results-oriented professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including presentation skills and ability to dialog with senior and executive leadership

Ideally, you have the following education and experience:

  • 8+ years experience, including 1-5 years experience as a people manager preferred
  • Secret Security Clearance preferred
  • US Citizenship required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or another relevant academic discipline or equivalent experience is highly desired.  A Graduate degree is preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $253,000 - $309,000 total on target earnings and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
