As part of the senior technical leadership team at Imaging Business, you will contribute to the mission of the software function by leading teams on delivery of quality products, innovation and development of team capabilities.

In this role you will Identify, recommend and leading the implementation of automated test processes and tools, that will optimize and improve the quality of testing across the test pyramid and in line with DevOps strategies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Understand the vision to design and integrate quality within Software Development Life Cycle. 
  • Proactively, define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, framework & approach across project teams. Perform Proof of concept activities as necessary.
  • Recommend automated testing processes and tools that will optimize and improve the quality of testing across the test pyramid ( Manual to Auto , across unit, module, system and user acceptance testing)  and in line with DevOps strategies.
  • Define and publish key performance metrics for the automated testing
  • Define problems, decompose and provide effort estimatesOversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams.
  • Drive Design and Architectural reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams.
  • Assist management in development of roadmaps.
  • Lead impact assessment and decision related to Quality Engineering plan and strategy for release.
  • Lead, Guide, train and mentor staff to implement test automation across teams. Develop awareness and competence.  

Educational Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Desired Technical skills / experience:

  • Minimum industry experience of 10+ years’ in the Test and automation domain, in implementing Automation test frameworks and methodology in context of Agile & modern DevOps, inclusive of 5+ years working as Automation Engineer leveraging test automation solutions of functional and load testing.
  • Expertise with Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches.
  • Experience related to software design for reliability, setting and demonstrating reliability targets in software.
  • Expertise in Continuos Integration /Continuos Deployment process and test automation.
  • Excellent knowledge with test execution estimates, design test plans & strategy, writing test scenarios, cases, executing test cases and defect lifecycle handling.
  • Advanced level of experience with languages -   JavaScript, Groovy, Python, CSS3, HTML5, JSON/XML.
  • Experience in Build tools like, Maven/Gradle.
  • Experience of using Jenkins and Perforce / Git source code control system
  • API test automation, XML/Json Verification etc.
  • Knowledge on Test automation tools- API test automation using REST Assured tool / Karate, selenium / Squish /QTP/ cucumber / SoapUI, Postman/ Protractor, / Jmeter, / LoadRunner, / Grinder, /Gatling
  • Expertise of Database concepts, SQL / NoSQl, advanced SQL.
  • Experience in writing high quality, readable, reusable, testable code.
  • Experience with Software design patterns and methodologies such as objected oriented design.
  • Experience with Agile Development environment. Good understanding of the concept of Behaviour Driven Development.
  • Experience with SAFe/ Agile methodologies for software development
  • Desired: Exposure to Healthcare IT or medical device industry
