Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide Systems Design leadership for Compute, Hardware programs/release trains as part of the HW product releases to the customers and their Install Base.

  • Require gaining the product understanding and will need to capture the system needs into requirements and will also be responsible for the architectural decomposition and allocation to subsystems from concept to release.

  • Designing, developing, modifying and evaluating hardware/compute solutions for medical systems. determine design approaches and parameters; analyze solutions to establish operating data, conduct    experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, Power    management, etc.

  • Leading the design team and design control process from requirements development, design planning to design transfer,

  • Leading the design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods in the development, verification and validation planning and execution for all releases

  • Developing requirements flow down, architecture/system design and analysis, risk analysis, integration and test, manufacturing, field and customer support including corrective and preventative actions to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Driving the architecture, test strategies, design requirements for the product all the time balancing implementation complexity, risks, manufacturability, serviceability and quality

  • Aware of and comply with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Drive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI new product Implementation program milestones

  • As a System/Product design owner you will effectively collaborate with the customer and cross functional engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure that all milestones and deliverables are met. You will have the ability to work with the customer to capture and understand correct and complete requirements that describe the system and communicate these effectively to the engineering team.

Education Qualification/Primary Skills:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Engineering in Electrical/Computer Science/Electronics

  • 10+ years Industry experience as an engineer within the appropriate field of study.

  • 5+ years’ experience as Architect within engineering team.

  • Experience in design, development of hardware systems & products.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience with Product releases/release train, regulatory compliance process, design history file and related documentation

  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues

  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving closure of a product/program release

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work within and influence cross functional team member.

Leadership:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization, foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel, Change Management /Acceleration capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other modality hardware teams and leadership
