While specific laws aim to protect women from cyber violence, the role of social media platforms cannot be overlooked. Current regulations provide insufficient mandates for these platforms to take responsibility for preventing and addressing abuse on their services. Strengthening laws to hold social media companies accountable for the safety of their users could enhance protections for women.
