Session: Encrypting Networking Layers for Security
As our world becomes increasingly digital, cyber-security threats pose a risk to our network's weakest links. With more sensitive information being transmitted through optical fibres, it's crucial to safeguard our optical networks, which serve as the backbone of our network infrastructure.
One way to secure communication links and make data undecipherable to hackers is through Optical Encryption. OTNSec Encryption, which utilizes the IKEv2 protocol, can protect data from unauthorised users' access. This session will cover the importance of monitoring each layer of the network to ensure the entire network is protected and the necessity of Layer 1 Encryption.
