Bio
A passionate advocate for historically underserved communities, Kelly González is the Director of Employee Experience, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Motive. In this role she is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the company to fulfill its commitment to diversity and inclusion, and empowering employees with information and inspiration to excel in their careers. Prior to working at Motive, Kelly spent 3 years at Tesla, Inc. as the Global Diversity, Inclusion, and Internal Communications Manager. Before joining Tesla, Kelly spent 10 years at SolarCity as the Senior Director of People Empowerment, and played a key role in developing the companies culture and assisting in it’s IPO.
Kelly was honored with the Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the Year Award from WomenTech Network (2020) and played an instrumental role in company awards such as Best Places to Work, Best Company for Diversity by Comparably, Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality by Human rights campaign and more.
Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management at UC Davis. Kelly also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of BraveWolf Productions, and sings often with her family, in the car, and to the detriment of her coworkers in meetings.
