Session: Communicating Innovative Technologies: Decentralized Identity for Marketers
Decentralized identity is a new paradigm in identity management that leverages blockchain technology to enable individuals to control their own digital identities, instead of relying on centralized authorities. This approach, built on open source technology, offers numerous benefits, including increased privacy, security, and interoperability. Companies use this technology to reduce fraud, increase efficiencies and reduce required resources when delivering new systems and services to their tech stack.
The presentation will address the challenges of articulating new innovative technologies for marketing purposes including how to use approachable terminology, strategies for leveraging the open source community, and offer real-world examples of organizations that have created successful messaging for marketing decentralized identity solutions.
The presentation will begin with an overview of the decentralized identity landscape, including key concepts and terminology. We will then examine the implications of decentralized identity, including how it can be used to enhance customer experiences, facilitate data sharing, and enable new business models.
Overall, this presentation aims to provide insights and guidance for marketers who are interested in exploring communicating complex topics in their organizations.
