We all know that founding a tech startup is hard, time consuming and most of the time stressful. So is giving birth and raising a child! Both are also extremely rewarding.As young women we are told being an entrepreneur and having a family is not compatible, resulting in a lack of young women making the decision to become a founder, especially in the tech world.
Emilie Joly, CEO of Zoe Immersive Inc, founded her first startup when she was still at university in Switzerland, moved to the US to develop the business and 10 years later recently became a mom.
She shares her experience navigating the tech scene a a female founder and embracing the hiccups of motherhood in the process. How to plan ahead for the birth of your child, manage the company afterwards and the importance of having a supportive team makes all the difference in the world!
