The Role

As a Unified Systems Operator at Kyndryl, you'll take on a critical role of monitoring, controlling, and maintaining cutting-edge systems across our expansive infrastructure environment. You’ll be the key to providing innovative solutions to both technical and business challenges – ensuring seamless operations that push the boundaries of what's possible.

In this role, you’ll become a trusted advisor to our customers, offering insights into best practices and resource utilization. You’ll be vital in maintaining our infrastructure through monitoring and validating events and or alerts, executing preventative tasks and escalating potential outages or abnormal situations, applying a proactive approach to challenges.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 7+ Years of experience in File Transfer tools, Connect Direct, Connect Express, Connect Center, SFG - Sterling FileGateway, SFG lite, SSP and B2B

  • Experience in practicing the relevant skills. Deep know-how in the related technologies. Able to create complex solutions/designs and other concepts, anticipating complex future scenarios and problems.

  • Agile methodology as way of working  

  • Experience with Scrum Methodology and Tools Jira& , Confluence, GitHub, Nexus, Docker/Kubernetes  Service Now User to start, work, track and complete Change Requests, Tasks  Deep Experience with IBM Sterling B2B integrator   Experience with IBM Sterling B2B integrator Control Center  xperience with Shell scripting (Linux, Windows)  

  • Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Process configuration, internal Scripting  

  • Know-How also with Infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux, Oracle, MS SQL,  

  • PostgreSQL, Azure Kubernetes, AWS Kubernetes, OpenShift)  The service provider should continuously strive to improve the platform stability, performance, and user experience.

  • This may involve implementing enhancements, adopting new technologies or best practices, and incorporating user feedback for future updates.   

  • Customer 1st and 2nd level technical consulting 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Installation and configuration of filetransfer infrastructure - Install Sterling File gateway (new nodes)

  • Installation and configuration of filetransfer infrastructure Configure Sterling File gateway components (new configuration)

  •  Provisioning of software licenses based on defined portfolio.

  • Server configuration and installation of necessary prerequisites (new components)

  • Configuration of infrastructure components monitoring

  •  Manage the internal and external load balancer for Filetransfer Service

  • Manage the Antivirus Scanners dedicated for Filetransfer Service*

  • Manage the Sterling File Gateway (SFG) Nodes (incl. optimization and configuration)

  • Execution of recommendations from System engineering / Architecture

  • Performance and problem analysis without incident

  • SFG optimization and configuration

  • Guidance of user tests

  • Performance analysis and optimization of applications

  • Planning and operation of Customer recovery test

  • Accompany user test at Customer’s request. 

  • Recovery of Filetransfers service infrastructure in case of disruption by incidents (SFG, SSPs, Control Center, Control Center Director) – excluded antivirus solution, firewall and network supported by AGN

  • Recovery of Filetransfers service infrastructure in case of disruption by incidents (MSSQL, Load Balancer, OS) – excluded antivirus solution, firewall and network supported by AGN.

  •  Support of Customer application recovery tests

  • Security administration for central filetransfer infrastructure

  • Installation of software patches and version updates for Filetransfer Service infrastructure

  • Installation of software patches and version updates for Filetransfer Service applications and components

  • Installation of service-related fixes and security patches (GISF - Group Information Security Framework) for Filetransfer Service infrastructure based on existing vulnerabilities.

  • Implementation of major releases and versions according to supplier’s software lifecycle for Filetransfer Service infrastructure

  •  Implementation of new software releases according to customer/Allianz Technology's software lifecycle for filetransfer clients.

  • Administration of change requests for Filetransfer service issues (originating from related systems)

  • Analysis on customer requests
