What You'll Do:
Criteo’s Commerce Grid is a next generation supply side platform (SSP), purpose built for commerce media. It was successfully launched in 2023 in North America and we are rapidly expanding across APAC and EMEA, with activations in Japan, Korea, UK, Germany, and France in the first half of 2024.
Our Media Owner Practice is responsible for leading the Commerce Grid business globally. Japan is a critical region for us to win given the strong synergies with our already successful performance business. To ensure success, we are looking for a dynamic leader with deep supply and programmatic expertise and a track record to lead our Commerce Grid commercial business in Japan.
Criteo supply team’s mission is to access inventory for our advertisers in the most efficient and effective way.

Lead our Commerce Grid business throughout Japan.

Localize the vision and strategy for Commerce Grid and Criteo’s supply business agenda for the Japan market

Lead the rollout, adoption, and scaling of Commerce Grid in Japan

Evangelize the platform both externally and internally through speaking engagements, thought collateral, interviews, and knowledge sharing efforts in partnership with marketing, GTM, and regional teams

Shape the product roadmap by defining requirements support market specific needs

Scale the business in Japan

Develop country level activation plans with Japan country leaders

Develop expansion strategy and investment cases for venture markets throughout the Japan market

Drive the sales process for media owners, marketplaces, platforms and other inventory owner critical for Commerce Grid’s success

Direct the demand activation efforts of the agency, brand, and retail teams

Work with the group and regional leadership to establish quarterly goals and incentives for the local teams

Work closely with all support functions to drive he business forward and maximize Criteo's revenue

Oversee the C-Grid publisher development, curation, operations, and integrations teams in Japan and expand it for success as we grow our presence throughout the local market.
Who You Are:

10+ years of ad tech industry experience, with specialization in programmatic supply side technology

Strong working knowledge of media business in Japan

Established network with local media owners and marketplaces

Established network with local agencies and media buyers

Deep understanding of a publishers’ ad stack and the opportunities that Criteo has to access Media Owners inventory.

Experience in leading, growing, and developing large sales teams in ad tech industry

Experience in delivering large, complex deals, negotiations, and integrations

Knowledgeable in local business culture and etiquette

Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English

Great people leader, able to lead a team of senior contributors & build cross functional connections

Keen intellectual curiosity and ability to structure & solve difficult problems

To be autonomous & self-driven, comfortable taking initiative and ownership to grow the business

Strong interpersonal skills. The success of this role will greatly depend on their ability to build relationships with senior leadership & communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners alike
