There’s this energizing and undeniable recognition of the value of Location – now way beyond our traditional community of geospatial experts and users. With our collective appetite for – even reliance upon – data, the future is clearly in data integration, in creating knowledge and insights out of the overwhelming amount of data out there. As a community of geospatial experts, we have an opportunity, an incentive – an impetus, even – to make data integration as seamless as possible. Let’s together unleash the power of Location!
Bio
Dr. Nadine Alameh is the CEO of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), an international consortium leading the future of Location with community, technology, innovation and standards for the good of society. Prior to OGC, she held various roles in industry as Chief Architect for Innovation at Northrop Grumman, to CEO of an aviation startrup; to senior technical advisor to NASA’s Applied Science Program. Dr. Alameh holds a Ph.D. and 2 MSs from MIT.
