Bio
Merissa K. Larson, Executive Director for Risk and Remediation, Office of Information and Technology, is the executive directly responsible for ensuring the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Information Communication Technology (ICT) such as websites, intranet sites, web-based applications and documents are accessible and compliant with the Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 which requires accessibility by persons having a physical or mental disabilities such as blindness or neurological consequences in the brain resulting from impact of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). VA’s customers utilizing compliant ICT are both the nation’s Veterans and VA’s staff members alike.
