Session: My Network is my Google
In my talk, I will touch upon the power of networking and how this life skill - that is unfortunately not (yet) thought at universities, or even high schools, has transformed my life, privately and professionally.
I don't Google things, I ask my support circle, about anything and everything. From the best places to go out, to books to read, classes to visit, and jobs that circle around and that are not available at the job sites.
I am a giver and believe that the power of the network is about the number of people we can introduce to one another, instead of collecting business cards and contacts over LinkedIn.
I am currently on maternity leave in Vienna and I continue meeting people and creating opportunities for others to meet one another (like monthly get2gether for the Making it in Austria community) instead of meeting people in boardrooms, I meet them in the local park and share regularly my tips and insights via LinkedIn (#adelamdz).
