So I am Gabby. Hi.I have been educating in virtual worlds since 2007 and I am the partner and head of XR at Evenness where we create 3d experiences for teamwork learning and events that run in a browser, not only in VR, so um almost everything that you will see today. No, I think everything will run in your normal browser and you will not really need one of these VR headsets. I mean to be honest, it's always more uh it is more immersive, it's more fun sometimes. Um But of course, not everybody has a headset. Uh And so this is about web VR and 3D Spaces that run in a browser today. Uh I am an expert for remote work and online corroboration for over 25 years now. And I have implemented innovative solutions for big companies in Germany and uh Europe. And my background is I am a communication skill trainer and soft skills trainer. So, but let's get right into it. Why? So if you thought that this is over now that lockdowns are over and um in many parts of the world and everything is going back to normal. Think again, it's never going to be like it was before. Just now. The news today, the headlines were Apple employees revolt against going back to the office, Twitter months ago. Uh tweeted that home office will stay forever for their employees.

And Facebook says mobile work is the future Spotify. They say you can work from anywhere. Porsche German car manufacturer said uh the CEO just said uh if you're in a cafe or a mountain lodge, we don't care where you work. And the Deutsche Bank, uh they are actually offering now 50 to 60% flexibility. So you have the choice as an employee to work from home or not, nothing will be like COVID like PRE COVID again, but we still have this problem, right? Zoom fatigue. It's a real thing now, really studies say um why? I mean if you, you and all of us have experienced it. Uh It is because video calls require higher levels of self control and regulation of emotion and um teammates literally doze off. So that is all due to the lack. Uh We, we lack a feeling. Um We lack the feeling of presence that humans need to collaborate effectively. Uh And they are kind of tricky to use with a big group of people. You know, this what we are doing right here. Zoom Meet. Um It's all an evolution of TV. And we um don't do that well, um when we have to be active and interactive. So how can 3D help and who is already using 3D and VR? Well, many companies uh have actually started um due to the pandemic uh to um try out and the experience with VR and 3D uh because uh some of them have resulted in amazing results.

Um they continue to use them although they are now allowed to go back to the office. Here are some numbers and some examples, Walmart, Um their VR training, their VR solution reduced training time for workers from eight hours to 15 minutes. And just recently they introduced a R augmented reality to cut down restocking restocking shelves um time by two thirds. So they are um saving money and um yeah, and, and the workers need less time. Ael Kring, a very um big German publisher and pricewaterhousecooper. They both use VR uh for collaboration and workshops. They are using a platform called AR uh I'm gonna put that in the chat later and they are quite happy with it. They ran experimentations or yeah, experiments with clients and with their employees and are so happy with it that they are now using it in um many teams although they have been or will be able to go back to the office KLM Airlines executives use VR corporation tool glue to reduce the need for corporate travel.

Yeah. Mind you. It's KLM. It's an airline but they want to reuse travel too. And the last time I showed this slide. Uh It was hundreds of small companies that meet daily in a virtual office. Now by now, uh there are thousands. It's not only these big names that you see here um but also um small offices, small teams and communities all over the world. And uh I'm going to show you now uh in a second with the next um starting with the next slide um how this looks like. Like here are the use cases for virtual reality and 3D. You can use it for remote workforce collaboration. We'll look at that immersive training. VR training and virtual learning conferences, trade shows, career fairs, you know where um people from all over the place got together and look at products. Um This is a great showcase and I'm gonna show you how it looks like and um showrooms, product development and virtual offices and virtual headquarters. So where you can meet with clients or your colleagues and maybe surprisingly building culture in an era of work from anywhere.

How can 3D and VR help with that? Well, let's have a look, remote workforce collaboration and action. This is called spatial the platform here. You can see me with my client Florian and we are actually using a headset right now. I'm using uh we are both using the Oculus headset um Quest Two. If you want to know it also works with Quest one, but with many others and the price tag is 3 $99 at the moment. But still, you know, not everybody has that. Um What you can see here is my avatar and him. And when I um just, you know, uh gesture, then uh gesturing, I'm gesturing, then uh my arms in VR move as well. And when I turn, of course, my avatar turns. So um it will be like in real, real time and in real life, these experiences um in the VR headsets, they really feel like I've been here, I've been there. But what do we do if um nobody has a head or not, everybody has a headset at home. So this platform as, as well as the others that I'm showing, you also runs in a browser. So it is very inclusive. And just by using a link, you can invite anybody here and they also have an avatar, they are represented through their avatar and uh they can work with others.

You know, I don't know if you saw that, you know, you can put notes on a meta plan or uh wall on a whiteboard or just about anywhere in the room. Um This is what people are doing here. This is a German university meeting uh of German professors from all over. Uh Germany. Uh actually Europe, they are working on a new curriculum in VR but not everybody had a headset and so many of them just um logged in with their web browser. And then when you are logged in with a web browser. You can also um you are represented by your uh webcam like, like we are right now. And uh so in this picture, you see uh in the uh on the left hand, you see the left woman in the white t-shirt, she is actually in VR with a headset. Then um they use this um for an engineering product development meeting. So they have some kind of engine in the middle and they can actually walk around it. The woman on the right uh where you see these um goggles. Um They are, I think uh Microsoft Hololens, these are VR and A R um um goggles. So uh she is actually uh standing in her living room and she sees her living room or her office and she sees all the virtual posters on the walls and the pictures and what they are talking about and she sees in the middle of her office or living room, this 3D engine and uh the one in the middle, the uh the woman in the middle, uh she didn't have a headset or A R goggle.

So she joined in via browser. And so this is what the others see, they see her represented by uh a webcam um like we do right now. Um And yeah, thank you, Ritu A R and we are uh we are augmented and virtual reality. So what you see on the right hand. Um Yeah, flying shoes. Why Well, why not? You know, in virtual reality, you can do things that you never could do in a showroom in, in reality. So you could have people. Actually, this was a room, um, to, uh, to do a pilot, uh, for, for uh, shoe companies. So they could see how to present their shoes and people can walk under the shoe, they can see, um, the, the profile of the shoe, you know, in larger than life. And you know, only your imagination is the limit here. But how to build culture in an era of work from anywhere. When we don't go back 100% being in an office. How do we build culture, our company culture or how do we build communities? Uh How do we have that sense of presence? It is not only the work that drives people, we know that but often the exchange with colleagues and customers, the chance encounter at the water cooler or the coffee machine, walking up to somebody at a trade show or a career fair.

Um This is missing here in Hoppin and Solutions like that. This is missing in, in, in zoom. Of course, you know, you don't have the chance and encounters there. Uh 3d workspaces bring back that sense of presence. For example, Deutsche Bahn, the German uh train company. They last year during lockdown, they asked me to um host a casual get together because they have been in lockdown for a long time and, uh, didn't see each other and they were actually, um, experimenting with VR solutions for the past year. And, uh, this is the training department getting together, um, before they would meet in a 3d workshop. And the, uh, result of all that is that now the VR training that they tried out was so effective that they now rolled out a nationwide VR curriculum, uh, training drivers and engineers, uh, with no travel involved whatsoever. They have um a whole group, hundreds of uh trainers who and employees training others who um will uh train well drivers uh in, in these uh situations. And I'm actually, I've been asked to be a, a coach and trainer for the trainers to show them how they can use VR um and other online learning techniques to make that happen. On the right side.

You see actually me uh uh in turquoise and my business partner Eve, uh just four days ago, we had uh launched for a um an organization, a community called Win Await and it is for female innovators, a global community. And they started it off a couple of days ago with a huge event with panels and discussions. And um these um networking, networking was um quite big there. So this is how it looked like it was, we call it Maldives, a beautiful island, all virtual mind you and everybody had the choice to come as a like Kish Avatar or to upload their own photo and create their 3D digital me and most of them did and it, it was an experience um which was really great for everybody, lots of bonding and networking and connecting going on.

So, uh this was all running in your normal browser chrome Firefox edge. And uh this can host up to thousands of people. The platform we used here is called Frost. And uh you can see only up to um maybe 30 maybe 50 people in one space. But as you walk around and join other people, you will always see um everybody in the end you can connect to them um by searching for them and have a video call wherever they are. And let's see more examples of that career fair celebration. So uh this is like your um well, not so traditional um Expo hall and I had a not so traditional um uh Christmas celebration. This was in Ver Bella on the right hand that is a platform called Ver Bella. There you need download as and um most people don't want to uh download anything and what you see on the left, the um career fair that runs in a browser and it's called Learn, right? The next example I have is the UK use case virtual offices in that we are, let me quickly check my time. How am I doing here? Uh OK. I don't see it here. Um OK. So virtual offices and we, we are, yeah, um anything goes really. But I wanted to show you how realistic it can look like and you can put any kind of 360 degree background. Um uh uh So it will look like you're on Bali or in Spain or in a big city if you prefer, if you prefer.

And these are just examples. And this again, this runs in a browser and also in VR if you happen to have a headset, um then we have another example. If you want to do real realism, you can have customized offices like this one. This is a very good example of a digital twin of your office. So what these guys did uh they, you, I don't know if you can see it all right, uh in the left hand corner, uh bottom left corner, you can see um the real office and it really looks um the copy of it in 3D. That's the big picture. Uh It really looks like um like the real office and you can meet there, you can invite with a link uh with a normal link. Uh You can invite your clients and of course, uh your team can be there, they can meet and you can show them around before they have to board a plane um or um come with a car and you can really have uh you, you have white boards there video, you know, I always say um in 3D, you have everything you have in Zoom or webinar solutions.

But so much more you can have mirror in there. You can use your white boards there. You can draw even in 3D, you can uh use your concept board or mural and, and you can just, you know, um bring in any 3D model that your engineers or your architects give you. Uh Yeah, but now to you, how can you leverage 3D? And we are in your organization? That's the big question. Well, you should definitely join a 3D or VRVR event to feel the difference because whatever I have shown you here, uh there is a huge difference. Once you start moving your little avatar, your little digital me around, then something happens with your body. There are several studies about that and suddenly you feel like you are in that little avatar and you see the world through um their eyes. And of course, you know, this is also good for uh shy people. I didn't mention that before and for people who identify uh differently for them, it's a great um revelation actually, which is why 3D worlds are um now very popular in uh LGBT Q uh communities and in any events that um are about uh diversity and inclusion.

So if you're looking for something like that, um 3D uh might be um the right choice for you. So, but how to find a 3D event? Um what I can offer you today. Um We are actually starting launching a uh a program for innovators, not only start up founders, um but also just innovators or people and women um and their allies who work in tech uh professions uh or in tech companies. And I um uh I can invite you. I'm happy to invite you to join today for the launch event. Um Look at the program. I'm gonna give you the link in a, a second in the chat and I'm open to questions as well. Um Yeah, just a second. I, I'll give you all the names and, and the uh the link to the program. So I'm putting that in here and I'm open to questions just in one minute. So let's see. Um Just uh a few words about even as, even as my company, uh we can, we are, by the way, an all female and very diverse uh team, we can help you to get your own virtual office or Digital Twin. And this can actually happen in a couple of days, you know, in a matter of days. Uh We can also make your next event a CO2 neutral mind blowing experience if you want that. Uh we can also boost training retention tenfold by cutting costs by 50%.

If you want to uh find out how uh you can contact me after this session, you'll find me on linkedin or you can just go ahead and schedule a meeting with me in, in calendly. And now I am open for any questions you might have. I'm looking at the chat right now. Uh So I, what I've been showing were different platforms. OK? So it's not like outpace VR um Nikita, outpace VR. Uh You have to download that. It's not web-based. OK. So you need to keep in mind that um this is all web based. It's as easy as um sharing a link with somebody and, and another uh difference. big difference is you can have um huge events with thousands of people still um feeling kind of cozy because as I said, you um to running in a web browser, you will never see more than um depending on your PC power performance, uh 25 30 50 people um up to 80 by end of the year, but you can have thousands in there.

Uh It depends on the platform so um I can give you a, a quick list here. What I have shown that was uh no bright and fresh is the one which uh can host thousands of people. And then we have frame R but they cannot have thousands of people. So it depends on your use case, it depends on what you want to do. And this is where we at. Evenness can help you with. And it doesn't have to be, you know, always a huge budget, we can find the perfect solution for you um for the budget and the kind of uh event or the kind of virtual office that you need and that you want. So if you have any more questions, I'm happy to, to uh answer them, just put them in the chat. Oh Nikita. Well, um not everybody needs a digital twin. We uh for example, what you can see right now in the last slide, uh we decided, oh my God, we, we don't want um rectangle rectangular um boxes of an office. We want open space, you know, and so we uh we have different meeting rooms and offices and some are in space, some are in the clouds and some are in a beautiful natural uh park or nature park.

We have these portals almost like in Stargate in the science fiction. So not everybody needs a digital twin. So we don't have difficulties to explain that. Um If, but some clients come to us, they want a digital twin. You know, they really want to replicate their headquarters, especially those who are working with a dispersed team. And uh they have learned that they can uh now even be more effective uh with a um home uh remote working workforce. And they actually asked for the digital twin B course. Um Well, you know, they have memories and uh they had shared experiences there. That's where they wanted, but some of them want something totally different and it's all possible and um is it's probably not as expensive as you think. So, is there any, ah, yes. Nikita. I also think this is great. You know, this is there is one good thing that came out of the um pandemic. Um That is that um finally, we will have more ecofriendly um events we have mm uh less travel everywhere in all the companies, organizations and communities, all over the world and we will be more exclusive therefore, because we can bring in people who would never had uh who could never afford the ticket, you know, let alone um having a co2 neutral event.

Mhm. Um But is there issues with connectivity when doing events for you? OK. Um Morgan a very good question. Well, is uh actually it's kind of uh it's comparable with Zoom. So if you are able to have a Zoom meeting or this right here, um then I can guarantee you you can get into the 3D world, you know, just the other day I had um people in with a chromebook and um it's uh not a problem, it shouldn't be a problem. So especially um our favorite platform for us um they uh run on um on, on a range of devices. So if, if you're good in Zoom, if uh then then you can use a 3D World and how many locations is this being implemented in your research? Um I'm not sure what you mean by that. And Brian um 00 you mean how many companies or in, in how many countries this is being used um Well, it's all over the globe that I can say for sure. Uh I can't give you the exact number but um everybody, you know, I have had just now a couple of days ago we, we had like here um people from India, it's being used in uh in the Philippines, it's being used in Australia big time. Um even before COVID and um yeah, so yeah, just, just about everywhere. Oh GDPR restrictions or some other geographical restrictions. Uh Actually the, the platforms that um we at even recommend they are all GDPR compliant.

Uh You can even have your, you know, with some of the, if this is an important issue to you or your company, we will choose the right platform for that. There is um a platform where you can um have uh it on, on premise, you know, like on site and you have European servers. Um the one company um that I showed you which looked a little bit like the Maldives, you know, with the beautiful sunset um their servers um are in Europe, they are actually based in Europe, in Switzerland. Uh So this is what we do. We um uh II I don't show you companies um which are um not GDPR comp compliant because this is of course, uh what the clients want. Yeah, other geographical restrictions. Uh It depends on the internet connection, of course. Uh But what we are doing here is also um relying on a quite fast internet connection, a decent internet connection. So, yes, we will always, um, or still have to exclude people, um, who don't have access, uh, to fast uh, computers. Although, um, most of what I showed you today, um, runs on a smartphone. So they run on an iphone and on an Android phone, sometimes only with limited uh, quality.

But, uh, sometimes, um, you know, when you are on the run and you, you don't want to, to miss a meeting or, you know, a conference that is starting. Um, you can use that too. Yeah, it runs on the browser and even on the smartphone any more questions, I think our time is up. Unless anybody is kicking me out here, I can take more questions. Thank you. Ok, thank you all. Oh, great. Well, thank you Nikita. You know what? It's, it's too bad for me. This is uh kind of unusual by now. It's too bad that you're not here with me, you know, in one of those spaces that I showed you. Uh because then we could just, you know, walk somewhere and I could see you as well and we could just hang out and, and, and chat like we would in real life. So I'd really invite you to come to, let me see. Um, yeah, meet me uh in uh w get me in, in calendly, schedule a meeting with me in calendly and I'll invite you to this event. I was talking about just a second. I have to go back here. This is from women in A I where I'm the VR ambassador. So if you click on that link, um you have the chance to see me again. But this time in 3d and many other uh women and their allies um who are all into innovation.

And this is the start of a great program. Check it out, it's free, it runs for six weeks and today is the launch event and you can still join. You have still a chance to join. Ok, so just click on that link and maybe I'll see you later. Ok, thanks everybody. Bye bye. I'll give you a chance to copy that before I close the room. Mhm. Ok. Thank you. Bye bye.
