What you'll do
  • You will support the operations side of the Network teams including but not limited to: cloud network infrastructure buildout, and troubleshooting.
  • Use your skills to improve our processes.
  • Collaborate with peers to deploy and manage cloud networking infrastructure, adhering to New Relic's best practices.
  • Understand our technical challenges and make educated decisions by having open conversations with members of our team.
  • Provide technical guidance to more junior engineers, building New Relic's engineering culture and bench strength by improving the skills of those around them.
  • Focus on cost control measures for our cloud  infrastructure.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and bake stability into everything you do to ensure a healthy work/life balance.

This role requires
  • 5+ years proven experience building and supporting scalable, highly available, and secure network infrastructure on public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud and container networking, streaming platforms, and security.
  • Understanding of modern cloud deployment patterns and infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform and Helm.
  • Ability to write code relative to common architecture patterns with DevOps experience and mindset.
  • Ability and flexibility to work across multiple time zones and in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent in relationship building and communication.
  • Highly organized and have the ability to multitask.

Bonus points if you have
  • Programming experience with one or more of these languages: Go, Terraform, CrossPlane etc
  • Current or previous certifications in AWS and/or Azure Networking.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure and GCP networking.
  • Experience with telemetry, observability and analytics applications.
