The Role

Role and Responsibilities:

AS400 related:
System maintenance: Scratch install, OS upgrades, Product installation

PTF installation IBMi Cloud installation: IBM cloud LPAR management
HMC management HA solution maintenance: MIMIX, iCluster, iTera, 
PowerHA Performance monitoring and tuning: index advisor, creating indexes, 
DB2 for i SQL, Query/400 Monitoring: WWTS, Tango/04 CL programming,
QShell Backup/Restore: Full system backup/restore, BRMS, 
Tape Library Configure network, communication traces, 
Wireshark. Manage security: System values, Health Check, 
Audit Journal, Auditing, Participation in audits, Security Certificates, 
DCM. IBM i ACS, IBM Navigator for i WebSphere Application Server V8.5 
Writing documentation and working instructions On-Call support

SAP related: install of application, transport management, system copy, client copy, kernel upgrade, user management, error-handling and monitoring

Database related: knowledge of SQL, installation of Oracle software and patches, datafile handling, basic maintenance tasks, use of brtools utility, managing backup and restore, monitoring and error-handling

SAP basis administrator related configuration, management, monitoring Administrational tasks: gather periodically performance data of the systems, and report to the management, improve inner processes, configure, use and analyse monitoring tools, continuous documentation of all activities

Problem- and change management: handling and coordinating problem tickets and changes (pre-scheduled work) controlled by inner processes of the company.

Who You Are

- 6 + years of experience on SAP AS400

- 1 SAP Certification is a benefit (for example Technology Associate).

- PTF installation IBMi Cloud installation

- DB2 for i SQL, Query/400 Monitoring

- Experience on SAP projects and upgrades.

- Language: English and preferably German

Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
