Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Enterprise Cloud Consultant. Accelerating innovation by making computing simple, scalable, accessible, and affordable, and providing infrastructure and services to enable developers to build next-generation applications; Defining Cloud/Linode network solutions as a technology specialist and guide customers through the strategic and technical aspects of their Cloud transformation journey, with an emphasis on implementation; Driving customer workload/application outcomes with Akamai Cloud Compute products and services; Delivering network solutions on large-scale applications to resolve disparate business problems; Partnering with enablement groups in Akamai Cloud Compute and Security and Delivery technology stacks to solve enterprise workload challenges; Analyzing and reviewing IT investments and services to ensure they align with business needs and strategy; Decomposing application components and determining how to leverage them alongside various technologies found within modern cloud services; Leading solution and product innovation initiatives through the application of local use-cases and technology trends and influence of product roadmaps; Applying experience with large-scale, cloud-based networks, including cloud architecture, implementation, and strategy architecting complex IaaS solution; Applying in-depth and hands-on skills in Cloud Computing (IaaS), containers, container orchestration (Kubernetes), auto-scaling, advanced deployment models, CI/CD with GitOps, and/or pipeline customization; and Applying expertise in cloud computing domain. Required Qualification:

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Telecommunications Systems Management, plus two (2) years of experience in job offered or closely related technical role.

Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Python, Java, SQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $165,360 - $170,043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
