The experience of parenting during maternity leave unexpectedly honed my leadership abilities. From orchestrating schedules to resolving conflicts and encouraging positive behaviours, I inadvertently developed a toolkit of leadership skills that were directly applicable to the workplace. On returning to work, I found myself more confident in leading teams, making decisions, and navigating workplace challenges.
