A critical component missing in many current teacher training modules is comprehensive implicit bias training. Teachers’ perceptions and expectations can greatly influence student engagement and achievement. Training modules need to include more rigorous sessions aimed at helping teachers recognize and mitigate their biases to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
